Whoo! Finally got this drawn in time for his birthday XD And needed a better semi ref of Leo with his new changes. >> Which is just a Semi Goatee there on his chin XD But hey. Needed to draw Leo more so here he is.

Background Story: Born and raised on his parents' farm, Leo started his life as a young hedgehog learning the ways of rural life in the hopes of someday inheriting the farm passed down through his family for generations. One night, at the age of 5, his home was broken into by two shady (and seemingly timid and cowardly) figures. Woken up from his sleep by the noise of the two intruders, he headed downstairs to investigate only to be knocked out by one of the intruders and was taken away. Hours later, he awoke in an old warehouse hideout with amnesia. Upon seeing this, the leader of the two men, a crime boss known as Kane, decided to keep the boy and raise him as one of his own.

Years passed and one day at the age of 8, Leo had snuck himself into a schoolyard where he noticed a young female wolf-dog being teased by bullies. Angered at the sight of this, he fended off the bullies before slipping away to avoid getting caught by the teachers. The next day, Leo snuck back into the schoolyard returning to see the same girl, this time away from the other children and drawing in the sand. He noticed a piece of tape propping up one of her ears as he approached her. The girl initially reacted with fear when Leo suggested she looked cuter with her ear down, but eased up when she realized he was blushing. They introduced themselves and Leo found out the girl's name was Krystal.

Leo would sneak back into the schoolyard day by day, gradually developing his relationship with Krystal to the point where he promised he would protect her no matter what. Leo would continue to sneak into the schoolyard to see Krystal every day until one day Kane caught him sneaking in. Kane severely punished Leo and slashed his chest giving him his first scars, and forbade Leo to return to the schoolyard (it was Kane's "policy" that his henchmen be prohibited from the possibility of romantic interests).

The years went by and by the age of 15, Leo had grown up to be a thieving criminal under Kane's guidance, mostly stealing blueprints for a robotic arm more powerful and deadly than Kane's current robotic arm. By this time Leo had become friends with Spike, a hedgehog who would try to influence him away from his criminal activity (often to Leo's chagrin).

One day while hanging out with Spike, Leo came across a familiar wolf-dog. He immediately recognized her to be Krystal. When Leo revealed himself to her, he quickly found that she was no longer the shy, timid girl she used to be when she gave him a face full of angry yelling over having broken his promise of protecting her. She forgave him, though, when Leo explained to her his reasons for his disappearance and Spike and Krystal were introduced to each other.

Within a year, Leo, Krystal and Spike would create a special bond with each other living in the same apartment away from Kane's domain. Despite occasionally getting into ambushes with rival gangs, Leo would slowly become disillusioned with gang life, especially as he started developing more intimate feelings toward Krystal. Kane, however, had been spying on Leo and eventually learned of his close relationship with Krystal.

In an attempt to sever their bond, Kane had Leo framed for stealing which landed him in jail, where he would get into fights, one in which resulted in him getting a scar on his eye. Fortunately, Krystal and Spike petitioned for Leo's freedom and managed to convince the judge to give him another chance. Upon realizing this, Kane grew frustrated and decided to get rid of Krystal and Spike.

On their way home from a fun day at the festival, Leo and Krystal were ambushed and knocked out by Kane. When they came to, they found themselves tied with rope at Kane's new lair. Leo was able to free himself by using one of his quills to cut the rope, but before he could attempt to free Krystal, he was struck down by Kane brandishing his new bionic arm and a battle commenced.

Kane's new arm, able to change into various weapons, seemed to outmatch Leo's fighting ability. In a fit of rage, Leo exerted an enormous amount of strength and a lightning bolt fired from his hand as he delivered a punch. Realizing he had powers over lightning, Leo was able to gain the upper hand in the fight, until there came the moment when Kane managed to use his bionic arm to reflect Leo's shockwave, almost knocking him unconscious. Just when Kane was about to use his arm (in the shape of a gun) to shoot Krystal, Leo managed to run in the line of fire and took a shot to the backside, giving him his scar on his back. The last thing Leo heard before passing out was Krystal screaming...

At this point, Krystal's powers over water (as she had powers of her own) went out of control causing the entire lair to be flooded with water. Kane was swept away while Krystal and Leo were protected by an air bubble. After the flood, Krystal, having now freed herself, used her water powers to heal Leo's fatal wounds as best as she could enough to keep him from dying. She escaped the lair and along with Spike's help rushed Leo to the hospital.

While Leo healed in the hospital, he and Krystal confessed their love to each other. From then on, Leo would begin his gradual shift toward a more peaceful life using his lightning bolts only for protecting himself and those he cared about. At least, that was what he would hope for as his troubles were only the beginning...

Bout damn time I got a Bio on Leo XD And how long did it take me? Like what? 14 years? XD God I'm so lame. But oh well at least Leo as a Bio and Backstory now.
