Baby Turtle

What another Baby Animal?! XD Yep! But this time a Turtle. A Box Turtle at that. 

So we found this little guy while my dad was cutting the lawn. At first my dad thought it to be a rock when he went around the first time. But on the second round he noticed the rock had moved. He thought he had hit it. But third time around. He saw this guy scurrying across the yard trying to find safety.

My dad stopped the mower. Got off and went and picked up this little guy. And by doing so he had noticed that where he was standing and where he was mowing there where alot of Yellow Jackets buzzing around. My dad then realized he was mowing on top of not one. But two Yellow Jacket Nests!

Honestly I have to thank the god that this little guy had stopped my dad from cutting the grass. Other words it could have turned out bad. Not just for this guy. But for my dad as well.. But the fact is... Where the nest was.. Was where my little pup Spunky first stumbled on the nest and I nearly lost him. We burned the nest after that. But they have returned and this time has doubled. But luckily they're gone now since we burned them as well.

As for this little guy? We were showing them to my neighbors asking them if we can set this guy free in their words near the creak so he's away from cars lawnmowers and people. But one of their friends who was there rescue turtles and said she'll take this guy and release him in her yard where there's a HUGE pond. Wide open spaces. And is protected on her propriety. So this little guy is living large in his new home. lol 



Also. Later that day of driving. I stopped for a turtle crossing the road XD Me and my sister got out to get this turtle of of the road. But turns out it was a snapping turtle so here we are in the middle of the road. Pushing a snapping turtle across the road and out of cars way. A dude in a truck was laughing at us. But was kind enough to put his blinkers on for us so we can get back to our car. lol
